2025 Monaco Diamond League Results
July 11, 2025
It was an excellent night for the middle distances and jumps in Monaco, as well as other events, at the Herculis EBS Diamond League meeting, with three area records set. Let’s dive into the full 2025 Monaco Diamond League results.
2025 Monaco Diamond League Results
Three area records went down this evening, including the Oceania men’s 800-meter (Peter Bol, 1:42.55), Oceania women’s 1000-meter (Jessica Hull, 2:30.96), and women’s NACAC 1000-meter record (Wiley Addison, 2:30.71).
We also saw three new meet records go down. First, Mondo Duplantis in the pole vault.
Usually, jumping 6.05 meters in the pole vault and setting a meet record would be a top news story, but at this point, there’s almost a feeling of disappointment every time Mondo Duplantis doesn’t set a world record.
Femke Bol ran 51.95 seconds for a meet record in the 400-meter hurdles for a spectacular 27th Diamond League victory.
The final meet record to go down was Sanghyeok Woo, who cleared 2.34 meters in the high jump. This jump is also the highest outdoor jump of the year and ties Oleh Doroshchuk for the top overall mark of the year.
Other Notable Results
The Netherlands’ Jessica Schilder took the women’s shot put with a round 6 throw of 20.39m, edging out American Chase Jackson (20.39m) and Canadian Sarah Mitton (20.00m).
The win came after finding out her shot wasn’t accepted. “It was a bit messy in the beginning of the competition and I couldn’t find my rhythm,” she said on her performance. “In the last throw, we found where the issue was, so that’s nice to get the big throw and win.”
Schilder’s season best and national record of 20.69m puts her second behind Chase Jackson’s recent American record of 20.95m in the world top list.
With six women over 20m already this year, it should be a battle in Tokyo to determine who ends up at the top of the podium.
Kenya’s Emmanuel Wanyonyi set a meet record and world lead on an evening some speculated could be the grounds of a new world record in the men’s 800-meter. Wanyonyi crossed the line at 1:41.44, edging out the United States’ Josh Hoey (1:42.01 PR) and Algeria’s Djarmel Sedjati (1:42.20 SB).
Wanyonyi remains the only person in the world to run under 1:42 this season, having also run under this mark in Stockholm last month.
This time stands as the tenth fastest run in history, with three of these times belonging to Wanyonyi. Only the Danish runner Wilson Kipketer and fellow countryman David Rudisha are higher on the all-time list.
Noah Lyles (19.88s) edged out Letsile Tebogo (19.97s) in their first head-to-head match-up since the Olympics last summer.
The race also marks Lyles’ first time running the event since Paris last summer.
On his own performance, Tebogo said that he was “disappointed” and that “I now have [an] idea of what to work on.”
Julien Alfred decisively took the women’s 100-meter final in Monaco with a time of 10.79 seconds, finishing 0.23 seconds ahead of second-place Jacious Sears.
Alfred maintains her number two rank on the world top list, only behind the American Melissa Jefferson-Wooden, who ran 10.73 seconds at the Grand Slam Philadelphia. She now holds three of the five fastest times in the world this year, with Jefferson-Wooden holding the other two.
