The 2025 Rome Sprint Festival (Roma Sprint Festival) was held at Stadio dei Marmi in Rome this past weekend. This stadium is one of the most iconic in Europe, with a ring of marble statues around the perimeter of the track.
The event featured some of the top sprinters from Italy and beyond, including two members of the Italian 4×100-meter relay squad that captured gold at the Tokyo Olympics, Fausto DeSalu and Lorenzo Patta.
The “Team Italia” section of the competition featured some of Italy’s top athletes (and some from abroad) in the 100-meter. Lorenzo Patta won the men’s section of the 100-meter running in 10.25s. His teammate on the 4×100-meter team, Fausto DeSalu, would also run this time.
