The Oval Update is an independent sports media company based in Tallinn, Estonia, founded in May 2025 by Daniel Yetman.
After nearly a decade of working in editorial departments, Daniel decided to leverage his skills to help increase the sport’s media exposure. He’s particularly passionate about increasing exposure for events that historically have been underrepresented, such as the throws and jumps.
The Oval Update is still in its early stages of development, but as we grow, we plan on increasing our live coverage, eventually expanding to global events such as the World Championships and Diamond League meetings.
Some of the meetings we’ve already covered include the World University Games, Canadian Nationals, and JBL Jump Fest.
